EXTRA COURSE IN FREEFORM – SOLA TECHNIQUE WITH SCRAP YARN
This workshop is for knitters who want to play with scraps and colors. I have named the technique SOLA – Slå Op, Luk Af (Cast On, Cast Off).
We will knit small motifs using the same technique I employ in my works featuring flowers in a vase.
What you will learn:
- Picking up and casting off stitches
- Short rows
- Increases and decreases
- Shaping motifs
- Freeform knitting techniques
The techniques can subsequently be used to knit any imaginable motif, and are somewhat like knitted brushstrokes.
What to bring:
- Double-pointed needles in various sizes
- Yarn scraps – even pieces as short as 1 meter can be used
