The verb "kyrra" (to kyrra a sheep) means to calm – to soothe the sheep.
And that is precisely what we do with the wild Faroese wool at the spinnery. The yarn is spun at Spinderiet ved Åen (The Spinnery by the Stream), a new, family-owned micro-spinnery, where the wool is processed with respect for the material. We spin individual threads and twist them together into 2-, 3-, and 4-ply yarns in natural colors: white, light grey, brownish grey, dark grey, and dark brownish grey.
KYRRA is 100% Faroese wool – washed, carded, and spun in the Faroe Islands.
